what's our story?

honey & me was founded as we were looking for candles we could use safely in our home that we share with our ball-of-energy toy poodle, honey. after lots of doom-scrolling, we realised the choice for dog-friendly candles was limited. so we thought balls to that, and decided to create our own!

we love dogs (ok, ok we're complete dog-obsessives who are never happier than being surrounded by dogs!). we also love having a great smelling house. after stumbling across shocking info that many candles (especially mass-produced ones) are made with paraffin wax and packed with harmful chemicals such as parabens and phthalates, we decided we didn't want to negatively affect honey's health (and ours!) by using those types of candles

we're proud to say all our candles are made with ethically-sourced, sustainable coconut & rapeseed wax that is vegan and cruelty-free. we also use natural wood-wicks that produce a cleaner burn as well as having a fantastic crackling noise! all of our candles and diffusers contain carefully chosen fragrances that are paraben-free and phthalates-free (so they don't contain toxins or hormone disrupting chemicals)

being community-conscious is a priority for us, so we use local UK suppliers, sustainably-sourced materials, recyclable containers and packaging, and donate 10% of profits to incredible dogs charities (every dog helped is a paw print on my heart!)
