what's our story?
I founded honey & me as I was looking for candles I could use safely in my home that I share with my ball-of-energy toy poodle, Honey. After lots of doom-scrolling, I realised the choice for dog-friendly candles was limited. So I thought balls to that, and decided to create my own!
I loves dogs (ok, ok I'm a complete dog-obsessive who's never happier than being surrounded by dogs!). I also love having a great smelling house. After stumbling across shocking info that many candles (especially mass-produced ones) are made with paraffin wax and packed with harmful chemicals such as parabens and phthalates, I decided I didn't want to negatively affect Honey's health (and mine!) by using those types of candles
I'm proud to say all our candles are made with ethically-sourced, sustainable coconut & rapeseed wax that is vegan and cruelty-free. We also use natural wood-wicks that produce a cleaner burn as well as having a fantastic crackling noise! All of our candles and diffusers contain carefully chosen fragrances that are paraben-free and phthalates-free (so they don't contain toxins or hormone disrupting chemicals)
Being community-conscious is also a main focus, so we use local UK suppliers, sustainably-sourced materials, recyclable containers and packaging, and donate 10% of profits to incredible dogs charities (every dog helped is a paw print on my heart!)

why we chose to go 'clean'

Our luxury coconut & rapeseed wax is vegan and cruelty-free, with no animal by-products and never tested on animals. The fragrances we use are carefully chosen to provide the best cold and hot throw scent, while containing no parabens or phthalates. Even our wicks are natural wood-wicks for a cleaner burn. Every element of our products are specifically chosen for their high quality, clean properties
health benefits
Our primary aim was to make dog-friendly products, but we actually found it helped our human health too! By using coconut & rapeseed wax, wood wicks and fragrances that are paraben-free and phthalate-free, we eliminated the headaches, sneezing and 'foggy' brain we used to feel when using standard candles. Now we can happily light our candles knowing it has a positive effect on our health!

As a small business, we focus on promoting fair practice, using resources wisely and being responsible towards the community and planet . We fully believe in giving back; we donate 10% of our profits to local dogs charities that are very close to our heart
