what's our story?
honey & me was founded as we were looking for candles we could use without worry in our home that we share with our ball-of-energy toy poodle, honey. after lots of doom-scrolling, we realised the choice for dog-friendly candles was limited. so we thought balls to that, and decided to create our own!
we love dogs (ok, ok we're complete dog-obsessives who are never happier than being surrounded by dogs!). we also love having a great smelling house. after stumbling across shocking info that some of the candles I'd bought (especially mass-produced ones) are made with paraffin wax and harmful chemicals such as parabens and phthalates, we decided we didn't want to negatively affect honey's health (and ours!) by using those types of candles
we're proud to say all our candles are made with ethically-sourced, sustainable coconut & rapeseed wax that is vegan and cruelty-free. we also use natural wood-wicks that produce a cleaner burn as well as having a fantastic crackling noise! all of our candles and diffusers contain carefully chosen fragrances that are paraben-free and phthalate-free, and exclude the toxic and hormone-disrupting ingredients on our ingredient exclusion list
being community-conscious is a priority for us, so we use local UK suppliers, sustainably-sourced materials, recyclable containers and packaging, and donate 10% of profits to incredible dog charities (every dog helped is a paw print on our hearts!)

why we chose to go 'clean'

our luxury coconut & rapeseed wax is vegan and cruelty-free, with no animal by-products and never tested on animals. the fragrances we use are carefully chosen to provide the best cold and hot throw scent, while containing no parabens or phthalates. even our wicks are natural wood-wicks for a cleaner burn. every element of our products is specifically chosen for their high quality, clean properties

sustainability is important to us; our ingredients are ethically and sustainably sourced because being eco-conscious is important to us. as a small business, we focus on promoting fair practice, using resources wisely and being responsible towards the community and planet. we fully believe in giving back; we donate 10% of our profits to local dog charities that are very close to our heart
benefits
it was really important to us to create clean candles and diffusers that had no hormone altering ingredients. I'd experienced headaches, sneezing and a 'foggy' feeling when using some standard candles, so choosing natural coconut & rapeseed wax, wood wicks, and carefully selected fragrances mattered to me personally. I'm so glad I made the switch as I can absolutely feel the benefits
