our environmental choices

environmental

right from the beginning, making positive environmental choices has been part of how we’ve built honey & me... and that won’t change as we grow

we know that making and sending products has an environmental impact

we’re not going to pretend we’re perfect — but we do believe the choices we make matter

from the suppliers we work with to the way we make and package our products, we prioritise making thoughtful decisions wherever we can

our primary choice is to work with UK suppliers

it means we can keep more of our supply chain closer to home, build better relationships with the people we buy from, and avoid sourcing things from further afield when a good UK option is available

not everything can be sourced locally, but it’s something we actively consider whenever we choose a supplier

we want opening a honey & me parcel to feel special, without adding unnecessary packaging just for the sake of it

we choose recyclable packaging wherever practical and continue to look at the materials we use as the business grows

we have purposely sourced paper packaging tape, recyclable boxes, recyclable protective shredded paper, and recyclable postcards (all from UK suppliers)

we even use recycled label paper for our safety labels!

our candle and diffuser vessels don’t have to reach the end of their story when the fragrance does

once cleaned safely, the glass can be reused around your home, then recycled when you’re finally ready to part with it

a little pot, tiny vase, pen holder... we’re sure you’ll think of something 😂

our candles and diffusers are made in small batches in the UK

this helps us keep a close eye on quality and means we can make thoughtfully rather than producing huge quantities simply because we can

Countryside Scenery
always looking for better

we don’t think environmental responsibility is something you can tick off a list and declare finished

as honey & me grows, we’ll keep reviewing our packaging, suppliers, materials and processes to see where better choices can be made

some changes might be tiny, others might change the way we do things completely

either way, we’d rather keep learning and improving than pretend we’ve already got everything figured out

beautiful homes, happy dogs — and a little more thought for the world around us too...
